March 11 - Luke 6

on Friday, March 11, 2011

In God's kingdom, what we as humans would consider good, Jesus considers not so good.  What we would consider least, Jesus considers great.  That is what today's passage is all about.  We are blessed if we are poor, weep, hunger.  We are to love those who hate, do good to those who do evil.

How can we do opposite of what comes so naturally to us?  Depend on God's spirit who lives inside of you as a Child of God.  He enables us to love those who are unlovely and be merciful to those who need mercy.  God, fill us so with your spirit that we ooze you to the world around us!

By the way, what kind of fruit are you bearing today?  If others were to look at our lives, would they recognize Christ because of what our lives are producing?  Just a thought!

See you Sunday!
