I would imagine that if there is one story most people are familiar with in the New Testament, it is the story of Jesus taking five loaves of bread (which would have been more like small cakes of bread rather than what we would think of as a loaf of bread) and two fish and feeding 5,000 people with it. I love verse 17 that says "They all ate and were satisfied." They didn't just have a little snack to tide them over until they got home. They were satisfied--full--had their plenty. Isn't that just like our God?
What is a need in your life? Do you look at the need and realize that you don't have what it takes to satisfy the need? How are you trying to meet that need? I encourage you today to ask the Lord to answer and supply that need in His abundant, "satisfying" way. And when he does, let's acknowledge His blessing and give him praise and thanks!
Looking to God to satisfy my need,
Dianne
