Day 1 - Matthew 22

on Tuesday, February 1, 2011

Hmm, did you get the parable of the wedding feast?  Just as the king sent invitations to the wedding and also provided the proper clothing to wear, each of us are invited to God's kingdom to his "feast" but we must be clothed in the garments of his righteousness.  If we try to come to Him without being clothed in His righteousness, we will be cast out.
  • Have I accepted God's righteousness? My works, righteous deeds, good life count for nothing.  It's all about Jesus.
  • What lesson did you get out of the second section about paying taxes?  Any lessons for today?
  • Which, to you, was the key verse in this chapter?
  • Who do YOU say Christ is?

The lesson I got out of the second section about paying taxes was to always trust Jesus. To me, the key verse in this chapter was verse 2 which stated, "The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son." I say Christ is Jesus.
